At an altitude of 600ft Finca Estrellas is located in the Axarquia region of Southern Andalucia, just one hour NE of Malaga Airport and 30 minutes from the coast.

The Finca lies below Mount Maroma (2065ft) in the foothills of the Almijara and Tejeda Natural Park and is reached via a short well kept track off the tarmac road 3 minutes from the pretty white village of Canillas de Albaida.

The surrounding countryside has been shaped over the years by the many ‘paisejeros’ who tend the olives, grapevines and almonds that abound in this area and is a riot of colour in the Spring and surprisingly green even in July and August, when there is virtually no rain.

The Summers are hot and the Winters are mild, often with days on end of clear blue skies with an average of 320 days of sunshine a year. The area boasts a wide variety of terrain from lush, green, flower-filled valleys with flowing streams and orange and lemon groves to stunning wild mountain scenery.
