Apart from the obvious diversities of eating, drinking, sunbathing and swimming in the pool, there is a very wide range of things to do and see in the area, from walking in the mountains to playing golf on the coast.

There are wonderful drives (guidebook available) and places to visit (the Alhambra at Granada is only 2 hours away) and you can even go skiing from January to March in the Sierra Nevadas. Malaga with the Picasso Museum and wonderful cathedral can be reached by car in an hour or for a more fun experience take the bus from Canillas to Malaga.

The coast is only 30 minutes away where you can find some excellent beaches with diving and snorkeling opportunities and there are interesting coastal towns to visit such as Torre Del Mar, Nerja and Almunecar with colourful weekly markets.
